How we do business
Booking a tune up or a website build shouldn't feel like a chore. Here's exactly how each process works, from the first call to the finished job.
Mobile PC Tune Up
Service area: TechFiringRange currently services from West Palm Beach, FL down to Boca Raton, FL. If you're unsure whether you fall within the service area, just add a general location when you book. We'll let you know if we can't make it.
Currently, only Windows PC tune ups are available. Apple users should refer to AppleCare for assistance.
During your PC Tune Up, you'll receive a physical PC clean (dust removal, a safe wipe down, and a physical component check), a BIOS and hardware check, a storage check, a malware and virus scan and removal, decluttering for a faster PC, a security and driver check, and more.
When you book a consult, we'll start with a brief 15-minute call to go over what you need. From there, you'll provide your address and a preferred time for a home visit. During the visit, I'll diagnose the issue, walk you through what's going on, and confirm the problem and proposed solution together before any work begins. Once we're aligned, the work gets done on the spot. When it's finished, you'll get a quick rundown of what was done, along with an invoice for your records.
Website Build & Design
When you book a consult for a website build, we'll talk through your business, your goals, and what you want the site to do. Bring your branding and content if you have it. If not, we'll figure it out together. What gets built depends on your tier.
The Starter tier is a clean single-page site built to load fast and work on any device. This is what the TechFiringRange website itself is modeled after, so you have a real example of what you're getting. Allow for a week to complete, though it can usually be done in a day or two.
The Business tier is for businesses that need extra features, like an embedded booking widget so you never miss a customer. This can be a multi-week build process. Expect 1 to 4 weeks.
Once the scope of work is settled, the build process begins. We'll set a timeline for completion and provide updates along the way. When it's ready, we'll do a walkthrough, make adjustments, and get it live. See Payments below for payment details.
Payments
Starter tier: $50 up-front deposit, due after the initial phone call once we've agreed on a scope of work to move forward. Refundable if you're unsatisfied with the completed website.
Business tier: $100 up-front deposit, due after the initial phone call once we've agreed on a scope of work to move forward. Refundable if you're unsatisfied with the completed website.
If not refunded, deposits are applied to the total price. Full payment is due the same day the service is completed. We'll agree on a payment method before beginning the scope of work.
Support Plans
Support plans are a great way to gain peace of mind. They're designed to maintain your site at the level you need, so you can focus on more important business needs.
Starter support plan: have TechFiringRange on call for the basics, including text and image swaps, basic uptime monitoring, and 3 website edit sessions per month (separate from image and text swaps). New or advanced features may run an additional cost.
Business support plan: everything in the Starter plan, plus priority turnaround on requested edits, up to 10 edit sessions per month, advanced monitoring (visitor counts and site traffic reports), and regular backups for rollback if your website breaks. And more.
